State Visit from Kazakhstan postponed
Sweden and Kazakhstan have decided to postpone the State Visit by Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev which was due to take place on 12–13 October 2017. Both sides will discuss possible new dates that will be suitable further down the line.
Kazakhstan is one of the Government's 26 prioritised countries for trade and business promotion. Our countries have a joint interest in dialogue and cooperation in the UN Security Council, where both Sweden and Kazakhstan are non-permanent members during the period 2017–2018. We look forward to continuing our cooperation.
