Meeting at the Royal Palace ahead of Sweden's Presidency of the EU in 2023

On Monday 25 April, The King and Queen, The Crown Princess Couple and Prince Carl Philip held an audience at the Royal Palace for Minister for EU Affairs Hans Dahlgren, Director-General for EU Affairs Eva Sjögren and Secretary General Jens Granlund.

During the meeting, the Royal Family were informed about Sweden's forthcoming Presidency of the EU during the first half of 2023.

The Crown Princess Couple and Prince Carl Philip also took part in the meeting in Prince Bertil's Apartments at the Royal Palace.

Sweden's Presidency of the EU in 2023

In spring 2023, Sweden will assume Presidency of the Council of Ministers (the Council of the European Union). This involves Sweden leading the Council's work.
