Publishing the banns of marriage for Prince Carl Philip and Miss Sofia Hellqvist

On Sunday 17 May at 11:00, a service was held in the Royal Chapel at which the banns of marriage were published for Prince Carl Philip and Miss Sofia Hellqvist.

In addition to Prince Carl Philip and Miss Sofia Hellqvist, The King and Queen, The Crown Princess Couple, Princess Estelle, The Princess Couple, Princess Leonore and Miss Sofia Hellqvist's parents Erik and Marie Hellqvist and sisters Lina Hellqvist and Sara Hellqvist and their partners also attended the service.

The service was led by the Right Reverend Lars-Göran Lönnermark, Bishop Emeritus and Chief Court Chaplain, and the Reverend Michael Bjerkhagen, Court Chaplain and Rector of the Royal Court Parish.

Music by composers including Princess Eugénie, Bach and Mozart was performed by court trumpeter Olle Hermansen, trumpeter Björn Nyman, the Armed Forces Music Corps, timpanist Christian Ekstedt, the Life Guards' Dragoon Music Corps, violinist and leader of the Royal Court Orchestra Semmy Stahlhammer, organist Gregory Lloyd and the Royal Chapel Vocal Ensemble, conducted by Court Organist Mary Ljungquist Hén.
