On Tuesday 14 April, The King and Queen, The Crown Princess and Sofia Hellqvist took part in the Global Child Forum Partners' Day which was held at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
The organisation's corporate and expert partners took part in the meeting. The day began with a discussion about the previous year's results, the objectives for the year and future plans.
There then followed discussions on how children's rights can be integrated into businesses' core operations, values and strategies. Speakers included Veronica Yates, Director of the Child Rights International Network (CRIN), Steve Howard, Chief Sustainability Officer at IKEA, and Per Lyrvall, Stora Enso's Country Senior Executive, Sweden, and Executive Vice President, Global Ethics and Compliance.
The Global Child Forum was initiated by the Royal Family in 2009. The forum is an independent platform that brings together world-leading players for in-depth dialogue and to raise awareness of children's rights.
