On Monday 9 June, Prince Daniel held an audience with Professor Peter Stenvinkel, Chairman Professor Giuseppe Remuzzi and Director Luca Segantini from the International Society of Nephrology.
During the meeting, The Prince learnt about the work of the society and the 0 by 25 Initiative, with the aim that nobody in the world should die of treatable acute kidney injury by 2025.
Today, the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) is the world's leading and most active organisation for spreading information about the diagnosis and preventive treatment of chronic renal failure. ISN works towards its goals through politically independent, humanitarian and culturally diversified leadership, and by regularly arranging international meetings.
Prince Daniel has been patron of the International Society of Nephrology since 2013.
