Inauguration of new concert piano

The Royal Palace Music Festival continues, Wednesday, August 15 at 19:30 with the public inauguration of the Royal Palace's new concert piano in the Hall of State, with H.R.H Crown Princess Victoria in attendance.

Internationally renowned concert pianist, Per Tengstrand (whom the New York Times calls a "superb Swedish pianist") will be performing classic pieces from Mozart, Brahms, Liszt, as well as Prokifiev and Salonen.

The concert piano was produced by Steinway & Sons, and its acquisition was made possible thanks to a contribution from the Wallenberg Foundation.

It is H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf's hope that the instrument will lead to much music and that concerts will be a meeting place for many guests and visitors.
