Today, 23 April, the Swedish government has decided to relinquish the right to use Haga Palace. The decision was made on the government's initiative and means that the palace is now once again at the disposal of H.M. The King. The palace is thus at the disposal of The Crown Princess.
The Crown Princess appreciates the generous offer and is looking forward to living at Haga Palace together with her future husband, Daniel Westling.
Haga Palace has served as a home to the Royal Family for many years. The palace was built at the beginning of the 19th century as a home for Gustav IV Adolf and his family. It was here that our current King spent his early years, together with his sisters and parents, Prince Gustaf Adolf and Princess Sibylla.
The exact date of the move has not yet been fixed.
