Application for photo and media positions at the wedding of Prince Carl Philip and Ms. Sofia Hellqvist

As of today, Tuesday May 12, Swedish and international media can apply for access to photo and media positions around the Royal Palace and along the cortège route.

The application process is done in cooperation with MFA International Press Centre. In the application state which/what positions that are of interest.

1) The Royal Palace, Inner Courtyard – The guests arrive
2) Southern Entrance – The Bridal Couple and the guests leave the church
3) The Outer Courtyard – The cortège passes
4) Slottsbacken – The cortège passes
5) The statue of Gustav III – The cortège passes
6) Gustav Adolf's square – The cortège passes
7) Berzelii park – The cortège passes
8) Logården – The cortège ends and the Bridal Couple walks up to Logården

Note that position 2 cannot be combined with position 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8.

The application period is Tuesday May 12, up to and including Sunday May 24. Applications submitted after May 24 will not be considered.

Allocation of seats in photo positions will be published on Friday May 29 at www.kungahuset.se/pressexternal link and www.kungahuset.se/royalcourt/mediaexternal link

Position cards for Swedish and international media will be handed out at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MFA) International Press Centre at Fredsgatan 6 on Friday June 12 and Saturday June 13.

A limited number of reporters will be invited by the Royal Court to the wedding ceremony at the Royal Chapel on June 13.


MFA International Press Centre

The MFA International Press Centre at Fredsgatan 6 in central Stockholm will function as the media center for international media in connection with the wedding on Saturday June 13. The MFA’s International Press Centre is open Monday-Thursday 8.00 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday 8.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m. and Saturday June 13 9.00 a.m. – 10.00 p.m.

Sveriges television's (SVT) live broadcast from the wedding will be shown on a big screen in the media center. There will also be an English translator and a representative from the Royal Court on site at the media center.
