The Royal Family attend a Te Deum thanksgiving service in the Royal Chapel

On Monday 12 March, a Te Deum thanksgiving service was held in the Royal Chapel at the Royal Palace of Stockholm in connection with the birth of HRH Princess Adrienne. The King and Queen, The Crown Princess Couple, The Prince Couple and Mr Christopher O'Neill attended the service, together with representatives of official Sweden and the staff of the Royal Court.

On the occasion of a royal birth, a thanksgiving service – the Te Deum – is held. The Te Deum is an ancient church ceremony, which in a royal context takes place in connection with important events at the Royal Court: christenings, birthdays, jubilees and other ceremonial occasions.
