On Monday 16 November, The Queen took part in the digital opening of Germany's fourth child advocacy centre, in Düsseldorf.

During the digital opening of Düsseldorf Child Advocacy Centre, The Queen said:

"The principle of child advocacy centres is the same everywhere: trained specialists from different fields look after children and their needs. We place the child at the centre.

"I would like to take this opportunity to emphasise the golden rule that characterises the basic idea of child advocacy centres: Whatever the outcome of a procedure, the child must be in a better and stronger position at the end of the process than when it began."

Speakers then included Armin Laschet, Minister President of Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Düsseldorf Child Advocacy Centre is located at University Hospital Düsseldorf, and a virtual tour of the hospital was given during the opening ceremony. You can watch the entire ceremony here.external link, opens in new window
