On Friday 4 May, The Queen took part in Mentor International's board meeting at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
Mentor is a world-leading drugs prevention organisation which The Queen founded in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1994.
Mentor Sweden is a voluntary organisation for young people aged 13-17. The organisation works with mentoring and providing an adult presence to help enhance young people's self-esteem, thereby strengthening the desire to make positive choices and to say no to violence and drugs.
Mentor International is an international umbrella organisation that Mentor Sweden is part of and works in partnership with. The organisation is represented in the Middle East, the USA, South America, the UK, Germany and the Baltic States, and has also carried out projects in 70 countries through various field organisations.
