The King holds formal audiences for new ambassadors

On Thursday 28 November, four new foreign ambassadors submitted their credentials to The King during formal audiences at the Royal Palace.

Guinea's ambassador, who is concurrently accredited to Stockholm from Berlin, is received by The King.

The foreign envoys received by The King during the formal audiences were:

  • Ambassador Diana Wanjiku Kiambuthi from Kenya
  • Ambassador Abbas Noyan from Afghanistan
  • Ambassador Andrew Kwan Tiong from Singapore (concurrently accredited from Singapore)
  • Ambassador Mamadou Siradiou from Guinea (concurrently accredited from Berlin)

Singapore's ambassador Andrew Kwan Tiong, who is concurrently accredited to Stockholm from Singapore, is welcomed by The King outside the Audience Chamber.

During the four audiences, the ambassadors submitted their credentials – a document from their head of state – to The King, who then granted them the formal right to work in Sweden.
