On Monday 30 July, The King visited Pålgård in Ragunda Municipality, Jämtland, which has been affected by forest fires. On the same day, The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel visited Färila in Ljusdal Municipality, Hälsingland.
The King and The Crown Princess Couple carried out the two visits to show the Royal Family's appreciation for the professionals and volunteers who have worked to fight the fires.
In Jämtland, The King said: "I wanted to come here today to show my and the Royal Family's appreciation for all those of you who have worked to fight the fires, both professionals and volunteers. Very many Swedes have a great deal of respect and appreciation for your efforts."
During their visits, The King and The Crown Princess Couple learnt about the efforts to extinguish and limit the fires in the two locations.
