The King and Queen attend a concert and the opening of the Stockholm Early Music Festival

On Tuesday 4 June, The King and Queen attended the opening concert of the 18th Stockholm Early Music Festival at the German Church in Gamla Stan, Stockholm.

During the opening ceremony, the festival's founder and Artistic Director Peter Pontvik, Italy's ambassador Mario Cospito and the Cultural Committee's Mats Berglund gave speeches.

After the opening ceremony, a concert was held in which the Camerata La Pellegrina ensemble performed, conducted by Mariangiola Martello.

Camerata La Pellegrina consists of leading Swedish instrumentalists, singers and dancers who specialise in the historical performance of 16th and 17th century music.
