On Monday 8 June, The King and Queen and The Crown Princess Couple held a digital audience with Minister Amanda Lind.
Culture and sport are two sectors that have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. During the audience, the Minister for Culture and Democracy spoke about the actions taken by the Government to support Swedish culture and sport.
The Minister also reported on the decision made by the Government regarding allowing sporting events to be held without spectators from 14 June.
The Royal Family are keen to show their support for the initiatives being carried out by society to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Royal Family are staying informed about how the pandemic is affecting Sweden via discussions, digital meetings and visits.
These visits are planned based on current recommendations, and every effort is being made not to take up time and resources unnecessarily.
