The King and Queen and The Crown Princess Couple held a digital meeting with Minister Ann Linde.

On Wednesday 10 June, The King and Queen and The Crown Princess Couple held a digital meeting with Minister Ann Linde.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Ann Linde began the digital meeting by describing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Swedish foreign and security policy.

The King and Queen and The Crown Princess Couple were then informed about the Swedish Foreign Service's consular work during the pandemic, such as providing support, information and travel recommendations, and evacuating Swedish citizens.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs also described the cooperation between the Nordic countries.

The Royal Family and the COVID-19 pandemic

The Royal Family are keen to show their support for the initiatives being carried out by society to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Royal Family are staying informed about how the pandemic is affecting Sweden via discussions, digital meetings and visits.

These visits are planned based on current recommendations, and every effort is being made not to take up time and resources unnecessarily.
