The Crown Princess holds an audience with Sweden's Ambassador for Arctic Affairs

On Tuesday 20 August, The Crown Princess held an audience with Björn Lyrvall, Sweden's Ambassador for Arctic Affairs.

During the audience, Mr Lyrvall gave an update on current issues relating to the Arctic. He also provided information about the EU Arctic Forumexternal link, opens in new window, which will be held in Umeå on 3-4 October.

As Ambassador for Arctic Affairs, Mr Lyrvall represents Sweden on the Arctic Council. The council includes the five Nordic nations, as well as Canada, Russia, the USA and representatives from organisations for indigenous people in the Arctic. Together, they deal with the questions and challenges affecting states and inhabitants.
