The Crown Princess holds a digital audience with Sweden's chief negotiator on international climate issues.

On Thursday 4 February, The Crown Princess held a digital audience with Mattias Frumerie, Sweden's chief negotiator on international climate issues.

During the audience, Mr Frumerie informed The Crown Princess about matters such as the status of global climate work, the limiting effect of the pandemic on negotiations, and the climate diplomacy of Sweden and the EU.

The UN's global sustainable development goals

In January 2016, the then UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon appointed the Crown Princess as one of 17 advocates for the work involved with the UN's sustainable development goals. The advocates' task is to promote the UN's sustainable development goals – Agenda 2030 – in various ways. As an alumnus, The Crown Princess will continue to focus in particular on work relating to the sea and fishing.
