On Monday 3 December, The Crown Princess was given a viewing of artworks by Edvin Öhrström.
Edvin Öhrström (1906-1994) was a Swedish artist. He created sculptures, art glass, drawings and illustrations. One of his best known works is the glass obelisk on Sergels Torg in Stockholm.
In 1950, Öhrström was commissioned to design new coins featuring the head of King Gustav VI Adolf in profile. As part of this commission, Öhrström produced several versions of a portrait of King Gustav VI Adolf. One version can be found in the assembly hall at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, and another at the County Governor's official residence at Örebro Castle.
At the end of the visit, Öhrström's children, Hann-Marie and Sten Öhrström, presented The Crown Princess with one of the sculptures of King Gustav VI Adolf.
