The King visits Brazil with the Royal Technology Mission

On Sunday 10 November, The King's 21st Royal Technology Mission with the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) began. This time, the mission travelled to Brazil.
On the Sunday, The King and the delegates from the Royal Technology Mission visited Cantareira Park, which is part of the rain forest next to São Paulo, and São Paulo State University (UNESP).
During the evening, a dinner was held at which Sweden's ambassador in Brazil, Magnus Robach, spoke about Brazil from a Swedish perspective.
On the Monday, The King visited Embraer (Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S.A.), an aircraft manufacturer with its head office in São Paulo. The company is one of Brazil's biggest export companies.
In the evening, The King opened the Nobel Museum's exhibition The Nobel Prize: Ideas Changing the World External link, opens in new window., at the Federação das Indústria do Estado de São Paulo.

Royal Technology Missions (RTMs)

Since 1984, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences External link, opens in new window. (IVA) has arranged Royal Technology Missions (RTMs) around the world, at The King's initiative.
An RTM is a delegation trip for Swedish business leaders and representatives from authorities and universities. The aim is primarily to make new contacts that can lead to a greater exchange of ideas and business. The King takes part in these delegation trips. This year's mission to Brazil is the 21st.
