The day began with The Crown Princess Couple and Minister for Trade Ewa Björling meeting the Lord Mayor of the City of London Roger Gifford and Eric Van der Kleij, Head of Level 39, who spoke about his vision of creating a global strategic network of entrepreneurs based on a Swedish-British axis. He aims to join together two strategic organisations, one in London and one in Stockholm, to strengthen entrepreneurs' opportunities for exchanges.
The Crown Princess Couple and the Minister for Trade then visited Skanska's new residential area, Seven Acres near Cambridge. Here, Skanska is focusing on functional, smart Scandinavian design, energy efficiency and social collaboration.
The day concluded with a visit to the University of Cambridge, where The Crown Princess Couple and the Minister for Trade learnt about the Cambridge Conservation Initiative — a partnership between the University of Cambridge and leading international organisations working to preserve biological diversity around Cambridge.
The visit to the University of Cambridge ended with The Crown Princess Couple and the Minister for Trade visiting the Centre for Governance and Human Rights, where they found out about the Humanitarian Centre and its operations.
