The King presents the Swedish Export Prize

On Wednesday 27 April, The King presented the Swedish Trade Council's Swedish Export Prize at Stockholm City Hall.
This year's Swedish Export Prize was awarded to the company Carmel Pharma External link, opens in new window., which develops and sells safety systems to protect staff and patients when handling dangerous pharmaceuticals.

The ceremony began with Swedish Trade Council External link, opens in new window. CEO Ulf Berg welcoming those present, before handing over to Minister for Trade Ewa Björling. Björn Ulvaeus then spoke on the theme of "Being an export commodity", and Carl-Johan Bonnier spoke about "Family businesses in Sweden and as an export". The King then presented the prize to Carmel Pharma CEO Dan Pitulia.

The Swedish Export Prize is awarded to a Swedish company that has:
  • shown strong growth in its exports or foreign sales in recent years, including successes in several markets,
  • shown growth in terms of added value, organic growth and employment in its Swedish operations,
  • developed a strong concept in its market offering or marketing, and
  • increased sales in combination with healthy profitability.
