The Crown Princess Couple visit Järfälla

On Monday 14 November, The Crown Princess Couple visited Järfälla Municipality.
The day began with a visit to Kallhäll Park, an award-winning accessible play area in Kallhäll. The Crown Princess Couple learnt about the importance of play for children's development, and how children with special needs are included in activities.
The Crown Princess Couple then visited Sandvik School, which includes a preschool, a primary school, a lower secondary school and a special school. The Crown Princess Couple found out about the work of the school and its teaching methods.
After Sandvik School, The Crown Princess Couple visited Norrvattenexternal link, opens in new window, a municipal authority that produces and distributes drinking water to more than half a million people in 14 member municipalities north of Stockholm. The Crown Princess Couple were given a tour of the plant, and learnt about how Norrvatten produces drinking water.
Lunch was served at Görväln Palaceexternal link, opens in new window, where The Crown Princess Couple were also given a tour.
After lunch, The Crown Princess Couple visited the defence and security company SAAB Groupexternal link, opens in new window. SAAB supplies the global market with solutions, products and services ranging from military defence to civil security.
The final item on the agenda was a visit to Jakobsberg's new bus terminal. Here, pupils from Järfälla Culture School gave performances. County Council Traffic Commissioner Christer G Wennerholm and Chair of the Municipal Executive Board Eva Lennström gave speeches, and The Crown Princess Couple were presented with a gift from the municipality.
