Princess Madeleine visits Legal Services for Children in San Francisco

On Wednesday 4 May, Princess Madeleine visited Legal Services for Children (LSC) External link, opens in new window. in San Francisco, as part of her work with the World Childhood Foundation.
During her visit, The Princess was given an update on LSC's Young Women's Empowerment project, which the World Childhood Foundation has supported since 2007. The project helps young teenage mothers to continue their studies while getting the opportunity to give their newborn babies safe nursing care.

LSC has received support from the World Childhood Foundation since 2004 for its work with vulnerable children. The Immigrant Youth Initiative works primarily with abandoned children who do not have legal residence status in the United States.

LSC works with a holistic model consisting of legal, social and emotional support for children and young people.
