The Crown Princess Couple then moved on to Flämslätt in Skara, where lunch was provided by Varnhem Diocesan Centre and Residential Study Centre.
In the afternoon they visited Varnhem Abbey. The Romanesque-Gothic abbey is the resting place of Birger Jarl, who founded Stockholm, and — according to tradition — four other Swedish mediaeval kings.
The Crown Princess Couple rounded off their Västergötland visit at Gothia Science Park in Skövde. The idea behind Gothia Science Park is to offer a combined innovative environment for companies with ambitions of growth.
