On Tuesday 8 September, The Queen presented diplomas to children from Sunderbyn Scout Group in Luleå, who had raised the most money via the 2009 Mayflower fundraising campaign.
The Queen also presented diplomas to the three researchers who received support from Mayflower's research council in order to carry out various kinds of research into children in vulnerable situations.

Blossoming Company of the Year

Finally, The Queen presented the 'Blossoming Company of the Year' award. This year, this distinction was awarded to Kapp Ahl for its contribution towards helping children under the auspices of Mayflower. Kapp Ahl has, for example, donated rain clothes to children who were without them at Mayflower's holiday camps, and helped children to sell mayflowers to the company's employees.

Record fundraising result

The level of generosity was higher than ever before during this year's Mayflower campaign. A total of SEK 49.5 million was raised, which is a record.
