The Queen honoured with “die Quadriga" Award

On Wednesday, October 3rd, Queen Silvia received "die Quadriga – Untied We Care"  award, at the Komische Oper in Berlin.

The award honors The Queen's humanitarian work, especially when it comes to helping vulnerable children. According to “die Quadriga," it is through The Queen's foundations and projects that “humanitarian ethics, courage and life perspective" becomes reality.

The Queen received the award from last year's recipient, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko.

It was the 5th time “die Quadriga" was awarded on Germany's National Day (Tag der deutschen Einheit), and amongst the other winners were former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, Aicha El-Wafi and Phyllis Rodriguez, as well as the German magazine "Der Spiegel".
