The Queen and I were shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic loss of life and destruction caused by the devastating floods in eastern Australia.
Our thoughts are with those who have lost their lives, loved ones and homes, and we send our heartfelt sympathies to all those affected and to the people of Australia.
