Statement by HRH The Crown Princess of Sweden following the death of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway

King Harald was a deeply beloved Godfather, always welcoming and warm. He was quick to laugh and always had a twinkle in his eye.

An exceptionally kind and admirable person. A role model.

Some people leave an imprint that time can never erase. King Harald was one of those people. With his warmth and presence, he had a rare ability to truly see others.

Uncle Harald, you will forever remain in the hearts of all of us who loved you!

During these days, my and Prins Daniel’s thoughts are with Norway and its people. We send our warmest condolences to Queen Sonja, King Haakon and Queen Mette-Marit, as well as to the entire Norwegian Royal Family.
