First of all, let me say – Thank you!

I am very honoured and moved by this Award. Honoured by looking at the prestigious list of persons that have been awarded this price before me. Moved by the recognition that the Bonino-Pulejo Foundation pays to Dyslexia.

More specifically I applaud the Dyslexia programme that the Foundation runs since many years.
It is a diverse program and it includes important support, especially for children. But it also includes efforts to increase the general understanding of Dyslexia.

So, on behalf of all people who have experienced dyslexia, please accept my gratitude for receiving this great Award.

I also would like to add. Before my trip to Sicily I learned about the earthquake which destroyed Messina and many other beautiful cities one hundred years ago.

To mark this event I have brought with me a sample of soil of Sweden to be placed, together with that of other countries, in the monument that is being built in memory of the tragic event, as a symbol of lasting love of the Swedish people for the friendly citizens of Messina.
