His Majesty's 80th Birthday

The King's 80th Birthday will be celebrated on 30 April. On the morning of the Birthday, a service of Thanksgiving, "Te Deum", is celebrated in the Royal Palace Church.

The Swedish Armed Forces will thereafter congratulate The King in the Outer Courtyard of the Royal Palace.

The King will also receive a choral tribute as well as the congratulations from the general public during the day.

A gala dinner will be given for invited guests in the evening.

Their Majesties' Golden Wedding Jubilee

On 19th June, The King and Queen celebrate Their 50th Wedding Anniversary. As the Anniversary day falls on Midsummer's Eve, the Golden Wedding Jubilee will be celebrated on 13th June.

The Jubilee celebration begins with a Service of Thanksgiving for invited guests in the Royal Palace Church. During the day, The King and Queen will travel with the Royal Barge Vasaorden and a horse-drawn cortège through Stockholm. Additional public programme items scheduled to take place on 13 June will be announced at a later date.

Exhibition at the Royal Palace

An exhibition about Their Majesties' 50 years as King and Queen of Sweden will also take place at the Royal Palace.
