State Visit from Italy

On 13–15 November, the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella will pay a State Visit to Sweden at the invitation of HM The King. The President will be accompanied by his daughter Laura Mattarella.

The State Visit aims to further advance the long-standing, good Swedish-Italian relations. The themes for the State Visit
are digitalisation and sustainability, European cooperation, focusing on research, and culture.

The most recent State Visit took place in 2009, when the King and Queen visited Italy.

Further information about the programme and participants will be published closer to the time of the visit.
