The Queen presents the Stockholm Prize in Criminology

On 14 June, The Queen presented the Stockholm Prize in Criminology during a ceremony at Stockholm City Hall.

On arrival at Stockholm City Hall, The Queen was welcomed by Chair of the Stockholm Prize in Criminology Foundation Anne Ramberg and Minister for Justice Morgan Johansson. The Queen presented diplomas to:

  • 2021 recipient Elijah Anderson from the USA
  • 2022 recipient Francis T. Cullen from the USA
  • Cheryl Lero Jonson, representative of 2022 recipient Peggy Giordano from the USA, who was unable to attend the ceremony.

The Stockholm Prize in Criminology is an international award which is presented to an individual or individuals who have carried out outstanding work within criminological research, or who have put such research into practice to reduce crime and to promote human rights. The award was established in 2006 by the Swedish Government and the Torsten Söderberg Foundation.
