Official dinner at the Royal Palace
On 7 April, an official dinner was held at the Royal Palace. The King and Queen invited individuals from around Sweden who have made significant local, regional or national efforts to the official dinner.

The King and Queen, The Crown Princess Couple and The Prince Couple welcomed the guests in the Vita Havet Assembly Rooms. The guests included representatives from the diplomatic corps, the Riksdag, the Swedish Government, authorities, science, sport, business and culture, as well as people the Royal Family had met on visits.
The dinner was then served in Karl XI's Gallery.

Seating arrangements
- The King accompanied Second Deputy Speaker Lotta Johnsson Fornarve to the table. Prime Minster Magdalena Andersson was seated to his left.
- The Queen was accompanied to the table by Minister Morgan Johansson. Ukraine's ambassador Andrii Plakhotniuk was seated to her right.
- The Crown Princess was accompanied to the table by Minister Max Elger. Minister Morgan Johansson was seated to her right.
- Prince Daniel accompanied Finland's ambassador Maimo Henriksson to the table. Second Deputy Speaker Lotta Johnsson Fornarve was seated to his left.
- Prince Carl Philip accompanied Prime Minster Magdalena Andersson to the table. Denmark's ambassador Vibeke Lauritzen was seated to his left.
- Princess Sofia was accompanied to the table by Ukraine's ambassador Andrii Plakhotniuk. Ambassador Hannes Heimisson seated to her right.

Steamed Norwegian king crab, marinated kohlrabi, grapefruit and aromatic herbs

Baked Icelandic monkfish, fresh lumpfish roe, butter-baked white asparagus, Sandefjord sauce and chives

Braised spring lamb from Mälardalen, lamb gravy with wild garlic and glazed celeriac

Lemon meringue, citrus sorbet, juniper berry oil, last year's elderflower, fennel pollen and French meringue
The tableware
The porcelain for the evening's dinner was a gift from the Riksdag and the Swedish Government to The King on his 50th birthday in 1996. The service was produced by Hackman-Rörstrand Gustafsberg and designed by Karin Björquist.
The glass service was made by Kosta and designed by Sigurd Persson, and was a wedding present from the Riksdag and the Swedish Government to The King and Queen in 1976.
The table silver was from the Brazilian silver service. The service is so called because it previously belonged to the Brazilian imperial family. Following the death of Empress Amalia in 1873 it was inherited by her sister, Queen Dowager Josefina of Sweden.
The table linen was from Ireland, and was a gift to King Gustaf VI Adolf in 1959. The pattern consists of ornamental leaves around the edges of the tablecloth.

Official dinners
The King and Queen host official dinners at the Royal Palace once or twice a year. Due to the pandemic, the evening's official dinner was the first since 2019.
The guests included representatives from the diplomatic corps, the Riksdag, the Swedish Government, authorities, science, sport, business and culture, as well as people the Royal Family had met on visits.
