The awards are presented each year to entrepreneurs from foreign backgrounds who have achieved success with their businesses. Due to the pandemic, the awards for both 2020 and 2021 were presented during the ceremony.

The ceremony began with The King welcoming all the attendees. In his speech, The King said:

Through sustainability, strategic thinking and willingness to take risks, good ideas can sometimes lead to joy and benefits for thousands – or even millions – of people.

Today's awards are a way of showing appreciation for those of you who have had the courage and commitment to go from idea to action and build something permanent. Perhaps against all the odds. Perhaps thanks to great personal sacrifices.
