Prince Julian's christening

On Saturday 14 August, Prince Julian, Duke of Halland, was christened in Drottningholm Palace Chapel.

The Right Reverend Bishop Johan Dalman and Pastor of the Royal Court Parish Michael Bjerkhagen officiated at the christening of Prince Julian Herbert Folke.

Hymns 289 ("God's love is like the shore and the grass") and 201 ("Summer hymn") were sung during the christening service. "Lilla vackra du" ("Beautiful Little You") by Charlotte Runevret and Anders Neglin was also performed for the first time during the ceremony.

The godparents

The Prince's godparents are Mr Johan Andersson, Mrs Stina Andersson, Mr Jacob Högfeldt, Mr Patrick Sommerlath and Miss Frida Vesterberg.

Christening lunch

After the christening service, The King and Queen hosted a private lunch for the Royal Family, the Hellqvist family and the godparents.
