Good evening, dear friends of Childhood, It is wonderful to see that so many of you could join us!
By joining us tonight and generously contributing to our cause, you have expressed your solidarity with the most vulnerable children. You have shown that there are many ways in which we all can contribute to ending violence against children.
More than half of all children in the world are exposed to violence. Many of them sexual violence. This is why Childhood’s work is so important, to prevent and end this terrible action against children.
So I want to thank you all for spending this evening with Childhood and for caring about children.
My special thanks go to our generous sponsors, artists and our Childhood USA board of directors and the Childhood Team. And thank you Joanna for the amazing work you have done for Childhood, we will miss you so. But a warmest welcome to Nicole Epps, our incoming Executive Director of Childhood USA. I look forward to working together!
