Prince Daniel and I would like to thank our host, the Chairman, for receiving the Swedish delegation. What a treat to spend the evening here, at the Temple of Literature with its fascinating history!

For all of you who have attended the Business Summit today, I hope you have had a most rewarding day.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet with some young pupils. As an Advocate for the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development it was especially interesting to hear about their views on their country, the world and the future.

In 2030, these adolescents will be young adults. The 2030 Agenda is a promise to them. But it is up to us to start fulfilling that promise – and to do it now. In that process, sustainable trade, innovation and collaboration will play a crucial role.

Ladies and gentlemen, Sweden and Vietnam enjoy a long standing friendship.

Now, by doing business together, by learning from each other, and by working together, we are building that friendship even stronger for generations to come.

I want to thank all of you for your work in bringing Sweden and Vietnam closer together. Your efforts are important – and very much appreciated.
