Dear Children
Today, 700 children in the world will be diagnosed with cancer. Tomorrow, another 700. One thing that I have learned from working with children’s rights, is that when children have something to tell us – we need to listen.
This is why the child4child campaign is so important. Through this new song, as many as 900.000 children from all over the world have participated in the campaign and created something unique in order to give courage, hope and faith. Together they raise their voices in order to make adults listen.
They are offering us an opportunity to understand their reality and the difficulties many of them are facing. But they also remind us that we, as adults, have the capacity to make a change in the area of childhood cancer.
As patron of the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation I am honoured to present the first ever performance of ”We Are One”.
