Information regarding position cards and when the photo positions open on June 13, 2015

Position cards will be handed out at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs International Press Centre, located at Fredsgatan 6. The position cards will be handed out on:
Friday 12 June 10.00 - 20.00
Saturday 13 June from 9.00

N.B. We kindly ask you to send ONE person per media company to pick up all cards – against receipt. Valid press card and photo ID required in order to pick up the cards.

The photo positions will open at different times, see below. You will also receive information about this and checkpoints when you pick up your position cards at the Press Centre.

Position 1: Inner Courtyard, the guests arrive
Checkpoint A, Museum Tre Kronor at 1.00pm
Media will be at the Inner Courtyard at 2.00 pm
Ladders allowed
The position will be open until approximately 4.30pm
After that, media will leave except the ones that also have access to position 2

Position 2: South entrance, The Bridal Couple and the guests leave the church
Checkpoint A, Museum Tre Kronor at 4.00pm
Media from position 1 and for position 2 will be let into the South entrance around 4.45pm
Ladders not allowed
Media will be able to leave when the majority of the guests have left the church

Position 3: Outer Courtyard, The cortège passes from the West entrance
Checkpoint B, Storkyrkobrinken at 2.00pm
Ladders allowed

Position 4: Slottsbacken, The cortège passes
The position opens for media at 4.00pm
Ladders allowed

Position 5: Gustav III statue, The cortège passes
Position opens for media at 4.00pm
Ladders not allowed

Position 6: Gustav Adolf’s square, The cortège passes
Position opens for media at 4.00pm
Ladders allowed

Position 7, Berzelii park, The cortège passes
Position opens for media at 4.00pm
Ladders allowed

Position 8: Logården/Skeppsbron, The cortège ends and the Bridal Couple walks up to Logården
Position opens for media at 4.00pm

The photo positon will be some distance from the Prince Couple so a 400-600 mm lens is suggested.

There will also be good opportunities for media representatives to stand in public areas along the route of the cortège.

The wedding

The wedding takes place on June 13 at 4.30pm in the Royal Chapel, followed by dinner in Vita Havet and dance in Karl XI's Gallery.

The bride and groom will be taken by horse and carriage in a cortège from the Royal Palace past the Outer Courtyard and along Slottsbacken, Skeppsbron, Slottskajen, Norrbro, Regeringsgatan, Hamngatan, Nybroplan, Nybrokajen, Hovslagargatan, Södra Blasieholmshamnen, Strömbron och will end at Logården.

Short after the arrival to Logården a 21-gun salute will be fired at five second intervals from Skeppsholmen.

The Swedish Armed Forces will parade along the route of the cortège and on arrival at Logården.

MFA International Press Centre

The MFA International Press Centre at Fredsgatan 6 in central Stockholm will function as the media center for international media in connection with the wedding on Saturday June 13.

The MFA's International Press Centre is open:
Monday-Thursday 8.00am – 6pm
Friday 8.00am – 8.00pm
Saturday 13 June 9.00am – 10.00pm

Sveriges television's (SVT) live broadcast from the wedding will be shown on a big screen in the media center. There will also be an English translator and a representative from the Royal Court on site at the media center.
