The Royal Mews

Welcome to the Royal Mews – a unique destination in the centre of Stockholm that is first and foremost a workplace but also a living museum.

The Royal Mews is responsible for transportation for the Royal Court, both by car – and for ceremonial occasions – by horse and carriage.

Employees at the Royal Mews are also responsible for care of the horses and The King's motor and carriage park. Employed at the Royal Mews are the Crown Equerry and Head of the Royal Mews, Riding Master, Head-Groom, Jockey, Chauffeur and Court Secretary.

The Royal Mews is open to visitors year round for guided tours of the carriages, stables and harnesses.
