On Monday 11 June, The King attended the opening of the SpaceOps 2012 aerospace conference.
After speaking at the opening ceremony, The King had the opportunity to visit the exhibition and meet exhibitors, including the European Space Agency (ESA) and NASA. SpaceOps 2012 is being arranged by the Swedish Space Corporation and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Stockholm from 11 to 15 June. This is the biggest aerospace conference to have been held in Sweden. The theme of this year's conference is "For the benefit of our world", addressing the way in which aerospace technology can be of use in terms of research, environmental and climate monitoring, communication and preparedness. The conference includes more than 300 talks and a major exhibition.
