On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 January, The King and Queen attended Queen Margrethe II of Denmark's 40th jubilee celebrations.
Saturday began for The King and Queen with a reception at Copenhagen City Hall, and concluded with a gala performance at DR Concert Hall. Ditte Hansen and Nikolaj Koppel hosted the gala performance, which was based on the 40 years of Queen Margrethe's reign. Sunday's programme began with a lunch at the residence of the Danish Crown Princess Couple in Frederick VIII's Palace, followed by a jubilee service at Christiansborg Palace Chapel. A gala dinner was held at Christiansborg Palace in the evening. Find out more about the jubilee at the Danish Royal Court's website.
