The Queen attends the formal gathering of the Friends of Drottningholm Theatre

On Tuesday 10 June, The Queen attended the Friends of Drottningholm Theatre's formal gathering and presentation of scholarships.

The Queen presented educational scholarships to singers, musicians, dancers and directors who have worked at Drottningholm Theatre. The scholarships come from four funds, all of which are administered by the Friends of Drottningholm Theatre.

The Friends of Drottningholm Theatre

The Friends of Drottningholm Theatre is a non-profit association founded in 1935, and is one of Sweden's oldest such societies. The King is the association's patron, and The Queen is the Honorary Chair. Each year, the society presents educational scholarships.
