On Tuesday 11 February, The King held an audience with the Chairman of the Swedish Lions, Lars Kuntze, at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
The King learnt about the fundraising campaigns that the Lions have taken part in to support research into childhood diabetes, and about an international initiative to vaccinate children around the world whose parents cannot afford vaccines against measles.
The King is patron of the Swedish Lions.
Lions Clubs International is one of the world's largest charities, with 1.35 million members in 207 countries. Its volunteer members are involved in various social and charity projects with the aim of making the world a better place to live in.
