After the scholarship presentations, Professor Walker Smith – one of this year's recipients of the King Carl XVI Gustaf Guest Professorship of Environmental Science – gave a lecture. Each year, the professorship is awarded to a prominent foreign researcher who can contribute towards the renewal of Swedish environmental science. Two professorships were awarded for 2014/15: Professor Raymond Pierrehumbert and Professor Walker Smith.
