On Wednesday 7 May, The King presented scholarships from the King Carl XVI Gustaf 50th Anniversary Fund for Science, Technology and the Environment to 14 researchers.

The recipients received their scholarships from The King in the Bernadotte Library at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.

After the scholarship presentations, Professor Harriet Bulkeley – this year's recipient of the King Carl XVI Gustaf Guest Professorship of Environmental Science – gave a lecture. Each year, the professorship is awarded to a prominent foreign researcher who can contribute towards the renewal of Swedish environmental science.
