The King attends the World Ski Championships

From Wednesday 27 February until Sunday 3 March, The King visited the World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme, Italy.
On Wednesday evening, The King and The Crown Princess attended the prize-giving ceremony for the men's 15 km freestyle event, in which Johan Olsson came second. On Thursday, The King watched the ladies' 4x5 km relay, in which Sweden took second place. The team consisted of Ida Ingemarsdotter, Emma Wikén, Anna Haag and Charlotte Kalla. On Friday, The King watched the men's 4x10 km relay, in which Sweden took second place. The team consisted of Daniel Richardsson, Johan Olsson, Marcus Hellner and Calle Halfvarsson. On Saturday, The King watched the ladies' 30 km classic style event. Anna Haag came 6th, Charlotte Kalla came 11th, Sofia Bleckur came 18th and Emma Wikén came 22nd.
The King's visit to Val di Fiemme and the World Ski Championships concluded on Sunday with the men's 50 km classic style event, in which Johan Olsson won gold. Daniel Richardsson came 10th, Anders Södergren came 15th and Marcus Hellner came 29th.
