The King attends the Swedish Ski Championships

On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 January, The King attended the Swedish Ski Championships in Falun.
On Saturday, The King watched the men's and ladies' classic style sprint.
 
The King also learnt about the plans in preparation for the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015, including construction work, track laying, accommodation and communications. The new tracks are currently being planned for the 2015 event, and the first version of the tracks was tested during the Swedish Ski Championships. Development of the tracks will now continue.
 
In the evening, County Governor Maria Norrfalk hosted a dinner at the County Governor's official residence in Falun, to which active skiers, leaders and coaches were invited.
 
On Sunday, The King watched the men's 15 km free style event and the ladies' 10 km free style event.
