On Monday 21 October, The King and The Crown Princess took part in the WWF autumn meeting at Ulriksdal Palace in Solna. The King is Honorary Chairman of the WWF Council, of which The Crown Princess is a member.
The King presented the following awards at the council meeting:

The Panda Book of the Year award 2014 was presented to wildlife photographer, biologist and educator Felix Heintzenberg from Lund, for his book "Nordiska nätter — Djurliv mellan skymning och gryning" ("Nordic Nights — Animal Life Between Dusk and Dawn"), which provides an insight into the secretive nocturnal world. The award recognises Sweden's best depiction of wildlife in words and images.

WWF's nature conservation prize — the Jihde Award — was presented to municipal ecologist Mats Rosenberg from Örebro.

The Environmental Hero of the Year awards were presented to Johanna Lakso and Olivia Linander from the youth organisation PUSH, Philipp Olsmeyer from the Garden on Track association, and blogger Clara Lidström.
