The Crown Princess visits the UN

On Friday 4 October, The Crown Princess visited the UN in New York. There, she met UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and UN Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson.
The day began with a meeting with the Permanent Representative of Sweden to the United Nations Mårten Grunditz and Deputy Permanent Representative Signe Burgstaller.
 
The Crown Princess then held meetings with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and UN Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson.
 
During a working lunch, issues relating to water and sanitation were discussed with experts from UNICEF and Executive Director Mr Anthony Lake from UNICEF. The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel are patrons of WaterAid, which deals with these very issuesopens in new window.
 
The Crown Princess then took part in a high-level meeting on migration and development at the UN General Assembly, during which Sweden's Minister for Migration and Asylum Policy Tobias Billström was one of the speakers.
